Community Guidelines

Renewed Roots is a private, trauma-informed community for adoptive, foster, and kinship families. These guidelines exist to protect everyone and ensure this remains a safe space to heal and grow together.

Kindness & Respect

  • Treat every family's journey with compassion and respect.
  • Disagreements are okay — personal attacks are not.
  • Assume positive intent in others' posts and questions.

Privacy & Safety

  • Do not share identifying information about children without consent.
  • What is shared in this community stays within this community.
  • Respect each member's chosen level of anonymity.
  • Do not screenshot or share other members' private posts outside this platform.

Content Standards

  • No medical advice that replaces professional care — share experiences, not prescriptions.
  • No solicitation, spam, or self-promotion without staff approval.
  • Content must relate to the adoptive/foster family experience.
  • No political debates or divisive content unrelated to our community's focus.

Reporting & Moderation

  • Use the Report button on any post or comment that concerns you.
  • Staff review all reports confidentially within 24–48 hours.
  • Repeated violations may result in posting restrictions or account suspension.
  • You may block any member whose content you find harmful.
